A beautifully concise presentation of where the "memristor" came from in a specific project. It would benefit from a little mathematics, in my opinion. For that, check out the Wikipedia entry and the article by R. Stanley Williams. The memristor is a new fundamental type of circuit element, comparable to the resistor, capacitor, or inductor.
